Account deletion is permanent. Once completed, your account and associated data are intended to be removed from our active systems, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate security purposes.
How to Delete Your Account (In-App)
You can delete your Couples Flirt account directly from within the app. The Delete Account option is
located
in the side menu and is accessible from any of the main tabs.
- Open the Couples Flirt app and sign in.
- From any main tab, open the
Side Menu. - Select
Delete Account. - Follow the on-screen confirmation steps to complete deletion.
If you do not see the Delete Account option, make sure you are using the latest version of the app.
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently delete the following from our active systems:
- Your account and profile data, including your user record, preferences, settings, assessments, and configuration stored under your account.
- Your private, non-shared content that exists only under your account (for example: personal-only entries or metadata not stored in shared spaces).
- Your device-related data, such as push notification tokens and presence information, where applicable.
- Your uploaded personal files, including avatar images and other files stored under user-specific Storage paths.
- Your authentication credentials, by permanently deleting your Firebase Authentication account.
Shared relationship data is preserved for your partner. To protect your partner's right to their relationship history, deleting your account does not remove data that exists in shared or joint spaces.
This preserved shared data may include messages, message media, intimacy logs (including both partners' ratings), and chat-related metadata. As a result, information associated with shared history (such as your display name, message sender identifier, or chat profile image as stored in chat metadata) may remain visible to your connected partner after your account is deleted.
Retention & Timing
We aim to process account deletion promptly. In some cases, deletion may take a short period to fully propagate through systems such as backups and security logs.
We may retain limited information where required by law, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or for legitimate security purposes (for example, fraud prevention).
